Mac Drops a Bomb
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is an infamous, raunchy, topical comedy revolving around five scum of the earth characters who own and operate a bar. Since the shows launch in 2005 on FX, Sunny has amassed an enormous cult following for the edgy comedy the show features. Spanning over 14 seasons now and still airing on FX as well as Hulu, Speculation has been running wild over the past year as to when, if ever, the next season of the show will make its debut. While the pandemic seemingly set back the taping and airing of the series, producer and actor Rob McElhenney took to TikTok on August 19th 2021 dressed in full riot gear to showcase as short video of him holding a script that reads: “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Season 15; Episode 1 “2020 a year in review”.
It seems as though we will not only be getting season 15 of Sunny relatively soon, we may also be getting some background as to what had been going on with the gang and paddy’s during the 2020 lockdown.
Never one to shy away from controversial topics or push the envelope, we look forward to the opportunities that may arise with the gang in regards to this crazy world we currently live in. As to why “Mac” appeared in this video in Riot gear is still largely unclear, could we perhaps be seeing a teaser to some drastic event that occurred during the 2020 year that will be recapped in episode one? Maybe the attire is just a cheeky nod to Rob’s character, mac’s famous “Riot” shit.
Further confirming the upcoming release of the new season, the official It’s Always Sunny Twitter page posted a picture of the script cover captioned “we’re back jabronies”

What off the wall and controversial hijinks lie in store for the gang in 2021, only time will tell! Be sure to stay tuned to the Always Sunny Twitter page for the latest updates as well as The Rebel Blogs for more news as it drops.
